Technically the state of California uses Feng Shui in its road and water projects. Not because it necessarily believes in the metaphysical aspects. But California is such an active earthquake zone and prone to mega droughts and mega floods. That it was found that following natural terrain as much as possible and avoid carving through mountain and hill sides. Would minimize damage from quakes and other natural events. As the local terrain had been molded by natural events so it could taken advantage of when building things like roads and water systems.
Imagine how beautiful china was before they cleared all the land. Unfortunately they rest of the world is headed in the same direction. Its not that there are too much people in this world. Theres enough land for everyone but we use more resources than we need.

I am an engineer with decades of construction. The money is all spent within China and not for imports of foreign equipment and expertise.
Water aquaducts have been widely used in Roman times. Whether above, on or underground, they are just canals. Surprising, they can withstand earthquakes far better than houses. Plus in the even of a breach, they can always shut the pumps Presumable there are also gates that can be closed to limit the water losses.
This video was produced by non-technical experts and only speculated on massive over-runs, possiible losses to the public. I find it totally useless and stopped watching after a while.
If the objective of China Insights is to insult, to generate alarms about China, I will stop watching their videos.
china really care abt its own people despite the failure of the water resource project...but there is no need to lose hope cos there are ways to treat water eg evaporation and recondensation of water to drink etc

China has to stop playing with nature
For everyone believing propaganda like “China built a hospital in 12 days, why does it take our government 5 years?” First, that wasn’t quite true…China did set up pre-fab quarantine barracks meant to set up quickly and which leaked water in rain, lacked enough toilets (see vids here on YT), lacked food services and much of the equipment in a Western hospital. So not exactly “a hospital” in the Western sense.
Second, and related to this topic, the downside of “the dictator said so, do it now” is that both the good ideas, and the terrible ideas, get done equally quickly. And not much anyone can say or do about the bad ones.
Millions upon millions of Chinese are drinking toxic water even more have no access to any water. CHINA HAS SAID THESE FACTS and not in private.

Infrastructures are not profit oriented, Infrastrucures always deficit, but country that dare to build giga infrastructures is ths country which can make the coutry far more better in the future.
