The debt crisis in China's real estate industry has not only spawned a large number of unfinished buildings or rotten tail buildings as they’re called in China, but the crisis has also affected its upstream steel industry. People may have two general impressions of China's steel industry. First is its size. It’s the world's largest, scale-wise; second is its overcapacity. The latter is a headache for the world, as China floods the market with cheap steel it has shut down steel mills in other countries and left workers unemployed. For nearly a decade, the U.S. and Europe have been fighting the CCP over this issue. Have questions? Do you have something to share with us about China? We want to hear from you! Odds are what quality was left in Chinese steel will disappear as cost cutting grips the industry to same levels of construction in China.
Fake steel cheap steel. Less steel for building 🏢🏫 no steel for building 🏫
China is lossing billions of dollars each day now cant help from going under now
Most of the world is far too addicted to world trade. Put tariffs on imported goods, and local products can be protected.
Does it make sense to import steel from China and, as a result, cause domestic steel production to be damaged?
It makes no sense to harm US companies, especially considering what the Xi dictatorship is doing with money from those sales.
The free world 🌎 is selling its future to a communist dictatorship that has state clearly, freedom is their enemy!
Some people need to rethink this stupid tradeoff. If cheap steel is needed, then set limits on
yearly amounts and limit imports to that small amount.
Beyond cheap steel, any need for steel must be made domestically. In the long run, it helps maintain jobs and capabilities here.
In times of conflict, those skills and capabilities are in great demand. They can not be outsourced to other countries, especially if they become the enemy! Art 😮😊
China is China corruption is normal they even produce fake eggs and fake rice and contaminated garlic never trust any Asian I had a Chinese restaurant in one of my shops for 5 years never trust or lease to a chow
Most chinese steel products were merely substandard.
Steel industry impacted. Dont joke they dont use steel in those constructions. At best it is pig iron.
It's always nice to see the good guys win.
I say this as someone from a post-soviet country.
China world trade should stop.
China is the worlds most dishonest and corrupt country that any honest country should not be dealing with.
Lack of steel for construction solved.
Tear down all of the tofu construction, salvage the steel, use the salvaged steel to build new tofu! Problem solved!
So does China need a war to clear out stores of produced and unneeded steel?
F China.
Peter Ziehan predicted this financial house of cards collapse five years ago. All built on the BS of the communist Chinese. But don’t worry about them, they have all stolen what they need. The government is the one stealing people’s bank accounts, not one guy who left the country. All communists BS.
What's the bet they take a leaf out of Argentina's books and decide to invade the island off the coast they covet to distract from their economic woes?
How is the real estate market coming when nothing has changed relative to demand?
It's not cooling at all. It's complete destroyed because of over pricing, but the demands remains the same.
It's pricing was reasonable and affordable, people would buy homes
Excellent Excellent Excellent 👏
some people say this is fake news. probably because not coming from china official media
China has been dumping millions of tonnes of inferior steel around the world for years & oddly they have illegally flooded the EU markets & are not even a member of the EU!!
