Hi guys, Welcome to our first week of wellness month! Some of you might remember that during quarantine I completed a Pilates Teacher training course together with my friend Jason. I am excited to share more Pilates workouts on the channel soon. This is one of my first " classes" so bear with me on any mistakes! Practice makes perfect they say! Pilates has really helped me tone my body and strengthen all the small muscles. I find this to be a great way to train strength, balance and core and hope you do too! There're a lot of false facts about animals and we're getting to the bottom of the common misconceptions in this video. I've googled popular animals myths to debunk them for you. Can blue whales swallow a car? What do you think is the largest thing a blue whale can swallow? We're talking about the biggest animal in the word to have ever lived on our planet. It can grow to up to 100 feet. So it's possible to imagine a blue whale swallowing something big like a car. But can it really? Its throat can take the size of a small salad plate; - Camels can survive even when drinking water only every 8 to 10 days, but not because they have a secret stash on their back. It's because, when they have a chance to drink, they will swallow 50 gallons of water at one sitting; - It's a myth that anteaters vacuum ants using their noses. Anteaters have very long tongues; - Another misconception states that owls can spin their heads, neither more nor less than 360 degrees. Their head-spinning does have its limit - 270 degrees in one direction; - If you touch a butterfly's wings, the animal won't lose its ability to fly. It will survive - despite the common myth that says the opposite. Butterfly's wings have scales; - Wolves don't howl at the Moon. They typically howl at night, true, but because that's the period of time when they're most active; - Giraffes sleep about 4 and a half hours daily. It's not that unusual for animal species that are most active during daylight; - Many people believe moles are blind. These small, burrowing mammals actually CAN see. It's just their vision is really poor and only adapted to recognize the light; - Chipmunks, bats, turtles, snakes - they all hibernate during the winter, which saves them energy for other seasons when they get more active and are capable of getting more food; - Earwigs prefer to spend their time in dark, moist places such as under tree bark or in soil. For over three years we have been working on developing an Interceptor project in the Rio Motagua basin in Guatemala, which suffers yearly trash tsunamis, devastating the environment. Subscribe to stay updated: 🤍 Geographic and municipal conditions mean an estimated 20,000 tonnes of plastic currently flows through the Rio Motagua into the Caribbean Sea on an annual basis. Based on this number, this one river alone is responsible for an estimated 2% of global plastic emissions into the oceans. In May, we trialed our Interceptor Trashfence, aiming to intercept up to 20M kg of plastic flowing through the Rio Motagua into the Caribbean Sea each year. The pilot phase is completed, we’ve disassembled the Trashfence, and we’ll study the learnings from this exciting trial. When Red Bull launched a show car earlier this month, then didn’t release anything from its shakedown, it was clear that Adrian Newey’s latest creation was being kept as secret as possible, for as long as possible. As soon as the car appeared, it became very clear why Red Bull wanted to keep it under wraps. The sidepod design, with the most aggressive undercut we’ve seen that effectively makes the floor and the sidepods completely separate before they come together further down the car, is just one of the many bold design characteristics of the RB18. It even has what The Race’s technical expert Gary Anderson likens to a double diffuser. Of course, being unconventional and aggressive doesn’t always mean you are the fastest. But given Red Bull and Newey’s track record, this car looks set to make a big impact for all the right reasons.
